DFK Consulting Engineers provided comprehensive civil and structural engineering services for the landmark Apex Hub development, situated in Dublin’s premier logistics location in Calmount Rd, Ballymount, Dublin 12. Our involvement covered and co-ordinated the design and delivery of road infrastructure, footpaths, cycleways, and full underground services, ensuring seamless connectivity and long-term durability. We also implemented advanced Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) for effective surface water management both within the building footprint and across the wider site to include; run-off from the spine roads into planted swales including infiltration trenches and structural soil pits via kerb gullies, whilst the overall built development considered extensive green roofs, attenuation chambers utilising the infiltration properties of the site and strategically located bioretention areas / rain gardens in order to comply with the Local Authority SuDS requirements whilst also achieving the appropriate Green Space Factor requirements.
Site area: Approx. 18.4 acres / 7.45h. This high-performance logistics facility reflects DFK’s capability in delivering innovative, compliant, and cost-efficient engineering solutions for a range complex logistic, industrial & commercial projects.
