Doherty Finegan Kelly (DFK) were commissioned to provide numerous building consultancy services on behalf of Country Crest/Ballymaguire Foods, one of the largest food producers in Ireland for their on-going expansion. Development included an extension to the existing Agri-Food production area with offices to the 1st floor, an extension to the Potato Storage shed, a new part single, part two storey Agri-Business facility with 1st floor offices, internal reconfiguration of existing facilities/process plant, all with associated significant siteworks including new access roads, car-parking, service yards, waste-water treatment works and percolation area upgrades, and surface water attenuation/SuDS rainwater management solutions. An integrated Constructed Wetlands System was also provided to integrate livestock and crop production. Works have also been on-going for extending planning of existing wind-turbines and the planning obtained for a new 2.3MW wind-turbine. Along with all the civil and structural Engineering, Doherty Finegan Kelly also provided the consultancy roles required for the Fire Safety Certificate (FSC), the Disability Access Cert (DAC), the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) and the Assigned Certifier (AC) for BCAR requirements along with overseeing the necessary Statutory consents required.
