Continuing Professional Development Plan (CDP)

Doherty Finegan Kelly is committed to the continued training and development of all personnel within the practice in order to maximize team and individual contributions to the company.  We continually seek to find new and more effective ways of delivering value in our projects.  This applies to design solutions and the use of improved technology including moderate construction methods and materials.  Staff are encouraged to attend seminars and lectures provided by the learned institutions and to acquire additional qualifications.  Training courses both in house and at external locations are widely promoted to enable our technical staff to become more familiar with any new analysis, design or practice and also on the use of information technology.  We also promote internally a culture of gathering and sharing knowledge with the objective of recognizing and applying innovative ideas.

 Staff members are encouraged to become members of Engineers Ireland, the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, the Institution of Civil Engineers and other appropriate organisations and institutions.  The company believes that the promotion of career satisfaction and progression is key to individual and organisational success.
